Hello! I am back with a mini scrapbook layout to give my photo print a new home:
The photo was taken at Cameron Highlands where we went there to do strawberry picking during our Valentine date last year. I decided to put a garden theme which suit the photo perfectly!
I started out with a blank canvas paper, dabbing the paper with my flat brush and Faded Jeans distress ink. I use TCW mini stencil and gesso to create the texture of wordings on the background before adding the die cut of the clock (Tim Holtz), adding the pearl onto the hands’ center.
I primed the die cut (cardboard) with gesso before sponging it with Walnut Stain distress ink, and sprayed with Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine to create a gold, shimmery effect. I softened the look by dabbing with a bit of gesso all around, including the hands. I also dabbed a bit of Green Patina Perfect Pearls onto the side of the clock inside.
I cut out the “LOVE” using CAMEO, and sponged it using Black Soot Distress ink before using foam dots to glue over the clock die cut and adding glitters using Sticklers Diamond. And the layering of the flowers, branches and stripes of paper start!
I tore My Mind’s Eye Designer Paper into strips and layered them first onto the card using cardboard as backing to create dimension. After which. the process of layering the flowers continued by layering inside the strips of paper as well as the top of the paper, using different colored Prima flowers and self-made roses. Tucked in between the flowers and underneath the strip of paper, I also included the Die-namites Knobby Branch die cut as well. On top of that, punched out paper butterflies were also added.
Once I am satisfied with the whole thing, I dabbed abit of gesso to soften the whole look, before distressing the edges of the card and paste onto a bigger white cardstock as a backing. Finally. I layered my photo on top. Finally, my photo has a new home!
I love the whole look!<3
This scrapbooking card will go onto my mini easel stand where I will display it on my table’s platform!
