Things have been so hectic that I hardly have time to craft, let alone having the energy to do some crafting after work! I was planning to complete my own papercraft project last friday, but I was so dead tired that I practically fell asleep at my table. And you know the feeling where you are so tired that when you nod off, you try so hard to keep yourself awake and make sense of the surroundings but ended up being very disoriented and irritated. I nodded off most of the time, and my fingers just keep typing nonsense stuffs (which at that time I was chatting with a friend online) and he was like “What are you talking about?” and I replied back “Huwyhalcna..”.
So I really embrace weekends. Really. When I was schooling, I never like weekends because I will be studying. So now that I am working, OMG! Weekends are such a blessing! Managed to complete a card this morning, while juggling with many other papercraft projects. I just thought I need to post something up here to share!
I decided to go with bold solid colors this time because I was feeling quite moody for past few days due to work and fatigue. Bold colors always make me happier 🙂 And this card is a little out of my style but I like the outcome!
Classic Bold Birthday Card
I used black card stock this time because as I said, I was moody so black was the representative of my mood and I want to cheer myself up…hence adding the bright bold colors! And I really did feel a alot better after making this 🙂 A great crafting therapy, so much so that I finished up cutting my other project which I will share next time 🙂 (Hint: 3D object!)
Card description:
Card stock measured 15cm x 10.5cm, patterned paper (cannot remember the brand!) and vellum used as background. Tag cut using Silhouette CAMEO, before stamping birthday quote image from Inkadinkado (Nostalgia) using VersaMagic Black Chalk Ink. Black ribbon added before using Stickler glue (Diamond) below the ribbon to add glittery effect. White pen used to draw stitches on the card.
I hope you readers have a wonderful weekend too! <3
