I was honored to be invited by Gloria to guest design in her challenge blog “Craft Hoarders Anonymous” , and the theme was Challenge #17 Happy Fall, Y’all. Gloria is a fantastic crafter and I admire her works posted in her own blog because I love her style with all her layering techniques! And it is also amazing that she managed to come up with her own challenge blog of her own which I love to take part in because her challenge always call for using scraps and stuffs hoarded, allowing the expansion of creativity plus getting inspirations from other crafters as well.
I had a few embellishments which I had from my previous crafting projects and of course, I hoard them for this project!
Here is my take for her challenge:
I made this Halloween Treat Box using black cardstock and pasted my own pattern paper which I designed the paper myself using Photoshop. The design was printed on acrylic paper using Canon PIXMA printer. And of course, I have the excess after cutting out parts for the box so I use the remaining for the embellishments as well! A good way to use your scrap instead of printing out more papers!
The tree was cut out using my Silhouette CAMEO on black cardstock which was the same cardstock for my box. I used gauze to attempt to create a cobweb background, before layering with the orange circle, which was distressed around edge using black soot distress ink before pasting the tree on it. Diamond Sticklers was used to glitter up the tree (I just love the glitter on my cards <3). I used Prima Flowers, hoarded previously from a project done quite some time back to add some finishing touch.
I punched out the scallop and circle before adding the little bat (cut from Silhouette Cameo), and add a bit of Sticklers to it for some shine.
And finally, the favorite question uttered by little children on hunt for treats! “Trick or Treat” was printed out using Canon PIXMA before cutting out, and distress black soot distress ink around the edge of the paper. I love how the whole treat box turn out!
Time to buy some chocolates to fill this hungry box up! <3
