Hello! I am back with a card, this time playing card challenge by Cardabilities #111. I decided to make a mixed media card because I love designing my own paper using textured paste, spray mist, distressed ink, stamping.
Here’s the card challenge:
And here’s my take for the challenge:
I used Pinkpaislee Core Impression yellow cardstock (Modern Prints Collection) which is actually leftovers from my previous project as blogged previously. In order to spice up the look, I added Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink at the edges of the card to give a nice orangey distress look. I also added texture paste using The Crafter’s Workshop stencil.
I also stamped using black chalk ink and Tattered Angel clear stamp before distressing the edges of the paper. Finally…my favorite part which is the layering!
I layered with gauze followed by purple ribbon before doing up all the layerings of the flowers (mostly are from Prima Marketing) and key embellishment. I love working with flowers and metal embellishments because they always give the whole card a fresh look! I use spellbinder die for the circle tag before stamping my favorite quote using black chalk ink. The butterfly is from spellbinders as well. I used blue chalk ink to distress the butterfly lightly, before adding Sticklers Diamond to give some glitter and adding rhinestone for finishing touch!
Thanks for looking<3
