Finally, a completed project of the explosion box which I showed a sneak peek in my previous post!
The background of the box are all designed by myself using photoshop before printing out using Canon Pixma printer. The process required so much patience and time due to the fragility of the pumpkin carriage, where I cut out the flourish part and then had to put three layers of gesso to stiffen them. Initially, I didn’t do that and just straightaway embossed them and they were so out of shape and so fragile that I had to redo it again and add gesso this time before embossing with glitter power just to add sparkle effect to it. Thankfully, they hold up enough to resemble the pumpkin shape! 🙂
So here’s more close up pictures:
The clock was cut out using CAMEO before going through clear heat embossing. Rhinestone added. Paper rose was done by rolling up strip of paper. Notice the castle in the background? I use gesso as texture paste and Sweet Poppy stencil to create the castle textured look.
I use my barbie doll shoe and repainted it with gesso and blue acrylic paint, before putting glitter clear varnish. I love how this shoe turned out!
I just love this quote from Cinderella story. And this is actually a mini card which a photo can be inserted inside by the way! One of the sides of the box also included a note pocket where a note can be written inside as well before slotting back into the pocket.
“So this is love, so this is what makes life divine.”
– Cinderella
And Cinderella is one of my favorite disney princesses so far, hence I am so glad to be working on this theme as requested!
Thanks for looking! <3
