Hello! I am back with the finished product as mentioned in my sneak peek in previous post!
This box was customized specially for a math teacher who loves yellow ducklings. And I enjoyed the brainstorming and the designing process!
Don’t you love the patterned papers? I love them! I found those papers online from Blagovesta Gosheva Blog, where it has many varieties of patterned papers and this (green paper with numbers) is so perfectly in line with the mathematical theme I have in mind. The yellow patterned paper is from Fancy Pants Designs (Off to school theme). Chipboard numbers and foam “+” are from American Crafts and Pink Paislee respectively. Flower from local craft store while the tags were cut using CAMEO before using printer to print the words. Everything was printed using Canon PIXMA printer with excellent printing quality.
And I just love the interior!<3
I have been toying with the idea of implementing a dome into my explosion boxes for very long time so imagine my delight when I was sketching out and brainstorming…I realized that I can fit in a dome with ducks swimming inside it. And it’s look perfectly like how I want them to be 🙂
Everything in the interior were all designed and cut by myself, as well as making the pond dome from scratch by using combination of the gloss medium, white glue and acrylic paint. Foam balls glittered using sticklers were used to decorate around the pond. There is actually hidden pocket in one of the flaps for a personal handwritten note. Another flap consists of a personal photo (not shown) hidden inside the flap where the photo was printed on Canon Photo paper glossy II using Canon PIXMA Printer. Everything is distressed (at the edges) using colorbox cat eye queue blue chalk ink to create a soft look.
What’s next?
Getting one of my ideas from my sketchbook to become a reality! <3
