As quoted by one of my favorite artists, Pablo Picasso:
“Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.”
― Pablo Picasso
I pick the prettiest part of the sky and I melt into the wing and then into the air, till I’m just soul on a sunbeam. ~Richard Bach
I don’t usually paint. But when my mood is a roller coaster, and crafting nor drawing doesn’t help me to vent my frustrations and sadness, my hand will grab a brush and start painting. You don’t have to be a good painter to be able to paint. Anyone who paint can tell you that. It allows you to express your emotions through every stroke, as you ponder over things that trouble you or you thought of happy memories.
Many things have been happening lately with the latest MH17 tragedy and the ongoing wars, and I have been very troubled by the bad news I have received recently which gnawed at my heart so much that at 1 AM which I was supposed to be asleep, I took out my board which was stashed at one corner, grab my brushes and acrylic paints and start painting until early dawn. I felt so much better after that.
Painting is very therapeutic.
When your mood is down or when you are happy and you need to express it somehow…
Grab a brush and start painting.
