Hello everyone! Another next colour inspiration kicking in!
I am so lovin’ these colour combination! It reminds me of bright, warm sunshine filling up the blue sky 🙂
And here’s my take for this colour palette:
I thought of coming up with these colours to describe cheerfulness, which describe my friend (birthday girl). Her cheerfulness is super contagious! 🙂
For this card, I used Distressed Inks for the background, with the help of transparency film and water to create watercolour effects.
I was a little apprehensive with the mixing of purple and orange but it turns out that the colours were really pretty! I had to be careful of not putting too many of the same colour on one spot though.
Next, I stamped the cupcake image (Friskar) and coloured it using copic markers before cutting out and adding glossy accent to the base and Diamond Sticklers to the top of the cupcake.
I added a layer of vellum over the card before stamping the “Happy Birthday” sentiment (Friskar) using Staz-On black ink. I also drew and cut out two heart shaped after colouring them with purple copic markers and pasted onto the vellum, adding a bit of glossy accent to create some dimension.
I just love how it turns out! <3
I absolutely love distressed inks because they are so versatile!
That’s about it. Thanks for reading! <3
