Hello! I am back with a birthday card, using mixed media techniques as well as layering once again.
This card made for a special friend and the card is named Jeraldine’s Garden. The name Jeraldine comes from the feminine form of English Gerald, meaning “spear ruler” which I depicts it as strength and perseverance. The garden garden represents many things: friends, family, and even the mind. So in this card, it is to say that despite facing so many obstacles and challenges, with the fighting spirit as well as the surrounding love of the loved ones, one will grow stronger and look on to the future with a positive attitude. :)’
More close up:
I used patterned paper from The Mind’s Eye as the background, adding a little bit of scraps of paper and gesso here and there to create a “crackle” feel, spraying with Heidi Swap (White and Coral) before layering with gauze, paper dolly, embellishment, yellow pattern paper and mulberry flowers. I added the clay frame which I made myself using mould, followed by the chipboard bird from Maya Road that was pre-glittered with Diamond glitter.
Jeraldine was handwritten using black pen (Prismacolor), and metal embellishment was added. Quote was stamped using black chalk ink before using Spellbinder to die cut out the frame pattern and cut out the oval shape using scissors.
That’s about it!
Much lovess <3
