It has been a while since I have last updated this blog.
Been recuperating at home after having dental surgery under general anesthesia to pull out 4 of my wisdom teeth! My family and friends think I am nuts to pull all 4 at once, but I have such a fear of needles and dentists that I decided to make do with the pain once and that’s it! It helped a lot not knowing how the surgery will be done, avoid forums at all costs! The girl after me had second thoughts and wanting to pull less teeth last minutes…can you imagine been in a waiting room with a couple of patients also waiting to have their teeth being cut out?
I think I will never regret my decision even though it is such a pain in the ass to eat even when I am on soft diet. Eating strong painkillers help, with lots and lots of sleeping time to speed up the recovery. So right now, my mouth is still sore after a week, and will be getting stitches removed tomorrow. Boy….I hate dentists!
Putting that aside, I am back with another card! It was made quite sometime back when I sneak in a closeup shot of it on my Instagram 🙂
So here’s it is!
It was specially customized for a client who want to give it to her colleague who will be going on maternity leave, so I thought that it will be good to add stock carrying a bundle to show that the baby is on her way! I used a yellow base card stock before layering it with a shaker, which was filled with beads and glitters. The name, the baby clothes and the stock were cut out using Silhouette CAMEO.
The background of the name was from My Mind Eye, while the baby clothes border was distressed using chalk ink to create a lovey gradient look, and then adding rhinestones as buttons. I colored the cap of stock and bundle using copic markers before adding some Diamond Sticklers to create a nice glittered look. Finally, tying the card using purple twine.
That’s about it!
